They basically said there’s pretty much two types of girls on tinder: one’s looking for dates/hookups and ones that aren’t (the ones just there for the ego boost). The first kind of girl just wants to make sure you’re not a weirdo

But with the second girl, so if after a few messages back and forth you say about meeting up later that week and they turn you down or don’t reply - great you just saved a bunch of time, because the chances are 5 or 500 messages won’t make them want to meet up, they’re just there for the social and validation aspect

But I too have a mate who’s quite good at the consistent texting game and getting dates, hooking up, keeping them ongoing. Not constant all day every day texting, but more than these kind of subs seem to recommend. I think I partly put that down to his Instagram giving off a good social status vibe (which is linked to his tinder), and I guess his text game is just better than me haha

I go against the grain on this topic. I text the shit out of girls. My personal goals for texting are based on what I want and what I'm providing a woman.

What I want is to screen each woman for compatibility with me personally, but also my life situation.

What I provide is an attractive man that makes them laugh, I'm interesting, I'm clever, intelligent, and masculine.

Things that I do not do is ask for phone numbers, Snapchat, or dates because when a woman decides that she's ready, they make it very obvious.

If you consider what a person is and strip them down to the simplest bits, all they are is a body of desires and needs. Each person acts differently based on their desires and needs. They have strategies and behaviors that they have learned works for them, or they subconsciously do them, even if they don't work.

So the personal goals I have play on that knowledge. A woman speaks with me and she has no desires based on me yet. My desire is to qualify her, so that's what I work on doing. While I'm doing that, I'm making it interesting for both of us by having fun while doing it. The more we talk, the more her desires surface. Eventually she's going to feel the desires and then start using her strategies to get what she wants.

Some women say bluntly, "Here's my number, text me."

Other women say, "This app is so annoying!" (Which means "What's your number? Ask for mine.")

Some women say, "So when are we going to get a drink?!"

Others say, "Any fun plans this weekend?" (Which means "Ask me out for drinks!")

I have an abundance mentality, so I'm in no rush to get a phone number, plan a date, or exchange Snapchat info when it comes to online dating. I stand apart from the majority of men who are constantly asking those things. If some of those men are succeeding where I'm not, with whoever I am not, I don't care.

I like to be chased and this is how it works for me. I strut around in front of women and show them how desirable I am and I keep putting myself out there for them until they decide they like what they see. When they make that decision, then I decide whether I want them or not, too.

The thing is I find it a bit counter intuitive.

Most good advice is.

You don't get to know people over text. A man who is good with women understands that adults get to know each other in person.

So far I’ve had no success at all. I have plenty of matches (and I get it that girls are there for validation) but none have resulted in a date.

Because you're not getting to the point, you're not sexualizing, you're not acting like a dominant male. You;re trying to be this sweet, nice guy who is waiting for just the right moment.

Women KNOW what Tinder is for. They're not sweet, innocent angels. So get to the fucking point.

You: Hey Sarah, you kinda have a wild look in your eyes. Nice. Her: Yeah, watch out! :) You: I will, lol We should check out this Netfix comedy special tonight at my place. Plus I have this amazing ceramic gnome collection I want to show you.

I don’t think it’s about looks since girls usually compliment me on them. So I’m guessing it’s about my text game or the general vibe I send.

Ok for real for the millionth time, tinder is a hookup app. Treat it as such, getting a girls number at a bar or something can be a bit different depending on the circumstances. You try to hook-up at the clubs and bars, if the logistics are bad then you get their number and set up the date.

In my experience (M/22) it's depended on the type on girl. On those that have something unique in their bio or a notable picture, it's usually easier to get to a point where you can tease/banter with them. Interactions that go like this I usually suggest we do X after maybe 3 or 4 messages each, and then ask for their number saying I'll text them to set up plans.

On the girls who are a little more...boring (for lack of a better word), and won't flirt back or give short replies, it's a little more difficult to tease/banter with without coming across too game-ey. On these I try and find some kind of common ground and take it a little slower, then suggest we continue that conversation over drinks (or whatever else).

I think it comes down to just not being like every other guy on there. I've seen some of my friends messages who don't really know what they're doing and it's the "hey what's up" "nm watching Netflix" "oh yeah me too" kinda conversations. So you don't have a to a whole lot to stand out--it's just easier to demonstrate this in the first scenario I gave since you have more to work with.
