"because you should never expect a yes IMO."
Do you think this is how the inner monologue of a Confident Person sounds?
As a human being, you are full of so much potential & creativity. Stop limiting your beliefs with bullshit slogans like the abovementioned, speak better to yourself.
[–]TemporinoAcc 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
I didnt have a better way of explaining it but it was not about having confidence or not. You just have to realize they are their own person and make their choices weather they like you or not. But I know what youre talking about and I agree with it.
Im just lonely right now and I had the thought of just being friends the girl but tbh now i dont even know if thats what people do if its normal etc. Im just lost.

LOL define "normal."
If you're not good company for yourself, you're not going to be good company for someone else. If you get lonely/bored, it means you're off your purpose.
When you start spending 100% of your time doing EXACTLY what you want to be doing, you will need to beat girls off you with a stick.
This is what no one wants to believe - work really hard on yourself, do shit YOU think is impressive - Guess What? - then other people will be impressed & attracted to you.
What do you offer to the world? What can you do better than anyone else? What sort of difference are you making in your community?
Start to answer these questions first, then the pussy will come my friend.

Honestly sometimes i dont even know what my purpose is. I started working towards what I want to do and what happens is a few months i will be 100% with it then my depression takes over it and i slack for some time. Im working on it but loneliness seems to be a portion of the problem.

Is it bad to want to just be friends with her and how would I do that if possible.
You don't want to be friends with her, thats lying, and "Nice guy" thinking where you believe that maybe you can weasel your way into a sexual relationship sometime in the future by being deceptive.
At his point I’m not even thinking of that. I just asked for her number idk if we would’ve been friends or dating. Anything could have happened but I want to make friends with nice people it’s just at the point I am in my life. I didn’t go in asking for her number specifically thinking I just want to date. Sure she’s attractive but I would’ve wanted to hang out and go from there.

If you just want some friends, join some social things based on your interests an forget seduction.
[–]TemporinoAcc 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
I don't want to join some social thing when im just alone in it, my social anxiety and the way my brain works now makes it seem unenjoyable. But in this case, i asked for her number but she had a boyfriend so whatever, i just have this thought stuck in my mind to be friends. So later if anything i can hit her up or anyone i become friends with to like a party or something. I have to start going to partys but i hate being alone or with people i dont know.

I really can't stand this shit.
You come here asking for advice.
You get perfectly reasonable advice.
Do you apply it? FUCK NO!
Instead, you are argue with the person who gave it to you.
Here's the harsh truth: you are 100% responsible for the situation you're in now. The same attitude and line of thinking that you're using to argue, that's what is keeping you pathetic, friendless, and unfuckable.
Honestly OP. If you're so smart and savvy, why the fuck are you here asking for advice on basic shit?
Come back when you've decided to give your ego a rest or you're tired of getting the same results: whichever comes first.
You don't give advice tho lmfaoo. Peace bro

This is emotional vomit. Grow up
"Not having friends" is a self fulfilling prophesy. Very few people want to make friends with someone that doesn't haven any.

Need to start somewhere. Don’t know what to do no motivation. I’m in my thoughts all day long counting the minutes to sleep time.
[–]plowzedong -1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
That makes sense why you don't have friends
It does now can u get the fuck outta here. U deadass hate on everyone’s post lol. Toxicity doesn’t work my friend
[–]plowzedong 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Ok. You whine about me being toxic, and then call me a deadass (whatever that meansll. But the proof is in the reality of the matter. I get laid and have friends, and you don't. So you may think about being a little more humble when you ask for advice or complain about your life.
If you want someone to stroke your ego, take that shit to r/ForeverAlone. If you want to learn to get good with women, then shut the fuck up and listen to what people are telling you.
Or keep doing what you're doing and keep thinking you are right, and get the exact same results that you have right now.

Join some meet up groups and do activities that you enjoy but also involve other people as well. Bro, what do you like doing for fun? What activities interest you? What kinds of things do you do in your spare time?
I can’t answer those questions right now. I don’t know the answer. I have to visit some kind of therapist because I let my problems go way too far without any help thinking that they will go away or I can work on them myself. I guess the only time I’d be able to answer those questions is if I wasn’t alone if that makes sense. Idk how to get my thoughts out exactly how they are.
[–]Marcelgerad 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Sure, that's cool! However, you can't answer what you do in your spare time without needing someone there even though it's what YOU do? BRUH c'mon
I just stay home all the time now, I would get invited to chill and i wouldnt go because either i would be nervous or it would be that time again where i push people away from myself. My spare time is all day. When im motivated id be learning a skill im doing right now but other than that nothing. I cant remember what I did when I wasnt this way, I was fine a few years ago. I think ive just lost myself.

If I may suggest something for you to try out. Try going to a rave party, everyone is super friendly, nobody judges anyone. It is honestly not like the club at all. It doesn’t hurt to try, plus a lot of people there do dress crazy, but they’re being themselves. And that’s the best quality a person can have.
[–]TemporinoAcc 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Thanks for the suggestion, but what would be wrong with clubs if you could explain please.
[–]mick_wave 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Well usually it’s the types of people that go to night clubs. Sure it’s a way to meet people occasionally, but the majority of people there are just looking for hook ups. But I guess in your case you could use that to practice your social skills. Or even simply talking to cashiers to improve it as well. Just start out little by little, the more interactions you have with strangers, the more practice you’ll get with becoming more of a people person.
