He was trying to take you home. Read the subtext. He disqualified himself, a classic PUA tactic. And tried to make your BF get drunk and look like an asshole. Sounds like he may have succeeded in that second part.

Not all guys get mad. But most will without realizing that's the trap.

Because they are possessive and jealous. That is the sort of attitude that pushes women away by being judgmental of her and treating her like property.

I can't blame the bf. It's one thing for guys to check out some guy's girl (it's happened with some girls I dated, and I take it as a compliment), but I think most guys would have a problem with complete strangers making such comments to his girl. Now I'm sure not all guys would take issue or try to start a fight, but some guys are more jealous than others.

That's how lames attempt to take girls home, by giving them things. Every guy knows this.

And if some lame tries that, he must think your guy is weak. Fighting time for a lame.

The fact that you accepted it is actually worse, but your reasoning is typically female, so it's understandable

The only person i was "all over" was my guy. I make it very clear who i am with. And even when he got mad at me i told him i loved him. I just don't understand why guys get so angry when another guy compliments their girl- in a bar scene or not. Sober or not. I didn't get to do my hair, no make up, jeans and a baggy t-shirt. I was not flirtatious, no eye contact, no physical contact, and i made sure to step back when this guy even got remotely close, to ensure that he didn't make physical contact. What did i do wrong? By accepting the drink chip- bc i didn't want another drink?

Personally I think your guy is insecure or gets too jealous.
