I usually always ask for the girl's number but decided to try something different - guess I wanted her to do a little chasing.

This might work if you significantly out-class them, but then I would imagine them being too nervous to call. Anyway, it's too passive of a move on your part. You need to get their number. Men chase, women surrender.

I used to give my card when a girl was attractive but uninteresting. I didn't feel like doing any work, but if we chatted for 15 minutes and I thought I might remember who she was later, then whatever. Only 1 of the 50 or so got in touch, but it wasn't important, because I was actively pursuing the ones that interested me.

If you're actually interested, always get the number.

Women have a short attention span; it looks like you lost her. And even if she wants to call you her fear of rejection won't let her do it.

Move on to the next one and don't worry about this one.
