Psychology today published a bunch of studies actually saying there is wisdom in most of the "conventional wisdom" of the PUA community. They typically are leery of someone's motivations in doing it, not the methods. Operating from a healthy place can be difficult and isnt always directly correlated with sexual success.

It’s his opinion, my psychology teacher actually respects the community. She even showed us a video of a PUA seminar, although it was more about body language than pick up. The idea was the same.

People in the "make better men" community often praise psychotherapy and psychologists (especially the famous funny-sounding Canadian one), and believe that they are the solution to men's dating woes and lack of direction in life. I guess they would change their mind, if they realized what most psychologists think about "seduction" and especially the PUA variety of it.

Psychologists are unlikely to recommend anything that might get them into trouble later, so they stick to the safe side.

The polite society is unlikely to accept the idea of "day game" anytime soon. So it's best not talk about your seduction hobby at work or with "normie" friends.

When I mentioned me reading a seduction forum regularly to my therapist, she didn't really mind. She just asked me to elaborate and explain what sort of lessons and attitudes I gained from it. She laughed her ass off when I told her there are some people who make money from giving seduction advice, coaching and holding seminars.
