This girl asks all the time if I am impressed by her performance in college/work/gym/talents/etc. Is she seeking validation from me?

She says something along the lines of I scored a 98 on the last exam I looked somewhat surprised. She then asks if I’m impressed with a smile. I’m like well I expected a 100 and she got mad.

Anyways this happens quite often and since I’m the type to not fully validate her like many people propbaly do in her life she feels that I need to tell her good job or wow you surprised me or something along those lines.

This is my perspective however I would like to hear from you guys.

Why do some girls asked if your impressed or surprised by their talents etc?
