Last night I went to a bar with a few friends and got the eye from a girl. Mystery (the only pickup artist who's work I've studied) advises approaching within the first 10 seconds, so I threw caution to the wind and approached a girl who was with a group of friends.

Now, from personal experience, I know you can never pick one off the pack but I did my best to maintain a decent conversation and try to get a number.

The conversation was a little awkward at first but we connected on enough things that she stood and talked to me (even after her friends left). I asked her if she wanted to dance and we went up to the second floor of the bar and found her friends. One walked up and tried to block me, telling me she had a boyfriend, but I assured her we already had that conversation. We had had that conversation and she seemed to be into it anyway, but I lost the momentum with her friends and she bid me a good night.

So are girls definitely willing to cheat? Or was I just wasting my time with a girl who wanted attention?

Should I have tried to connect with her friends to get her more into me?
