Just engage her like she’s single. If she has a bf, she’ll bring it up herself. You can make your intentions know straight away through better options.

I would reccomend building interest first. There are other ways to display your intentions.

Nope. That's a clear sign to me that that someone approaching has no idea what they're doing. I doubt that, "do you have a boyfriend," has gotten anyone laid short of Brad Pitt or Chris Hemsworth. If she has a boyfriend, and she's committed to him, she'll tell you.

No. You don't care if she has a bf, so why would you ask? Asking that communicates that you are low value. Signal your intention by opening her directly and politely with a smile and direct eye contact. Stack immediately by stating an observation or assumption about her. Vibe off her response, and keep talking until she engages by asking some kind of question back. Then, settle down into a nominal back and forth conversation, demonstrate some value, maybe try to get her to comply with a request or two, tease, and eventually close. No bf question EVER!!!! If she suddenly says "but I have a boyfriend!", either ignore it, or respond playfully ("I have one too, they are useful sometimes!). Best of luck.
