A mix ego, jealousy and misunderstandings. Your style is your style, I prefer not to "lie" when doing seduction. Pick up and seduction are two diff things. To each there own, do what works for you.

Because there is a strong social code that says men should not be the pursuers unless invited by a woman. I've heard this expressed on FB in the extreme as "it's inappropriate for a man to EVER talk to a woman he doesn't already know". Yes, that nazi. Women at some level know they are subject to "predation" by sexual men. And this taboo is their way of trying to systematically protect themselves: make it socially taboo for men to open and "run attraction" is you will (I don't want to try to split hairs between "PUA techniques" vs. "seduction", and the taboo is independent of to what degree you are "real and ingenuous" vs. "fake" in your approach and follow-through). There's also a rational argument that this taboo is promoted by MEN, particularly those of material means, as a way of protecting "their women" (effectively purchased through their positioning themselves as providers) from predation by men with more sexual market value than them (but less material means). It's a deep and subtle taboo and a core element of the proverbial "approach anxiety" (we are molded from a very early age in this regard: "boys line here, girls line here, no talking between the sexes, on and on). So when they try to shame you, I believe they are responding from their cultural conditioning in this regard. "You aren't supposed to do that." On the other hand, OBVIOUSLY women are trained from a VERY EARLY AGE to "make themselves attractive", and to compete with each other in this department. It sells an awful lot of shit as a starter. It also enables the women in manner complementary manner with the social norm of men not supposed to approach/attract: it enables women to NOT BE IN THE MARKET if they choose, by not doing the currently "socially appropriate" beauty thing, whatever it may be (hey, next year it may be big plates in the lower jaw or sawing off part of the nose, you never know). So there are strong thread of consistency in all these things, I believe.

It’s not the same thing. All those “fake” things are used to make girls more attractive. Men do it the same way by dressing well, smelling good, getting a good hair cut and working out/being fit. It’s just maximizing your looks.

PUA or seduction is something men need to learn/do and women don’t, because and average girl can walk to guys on the streets and be like “Ei bb, yu wan sum fuk” and she will get laid.
