Struggling a little bit here. Since December I've had a few dates I was interested in pretty much tell me that I was smart, kind, a good story teller, funny, etc, but just not the right guy for them. Same thing with a few friends in my life that I either approached or they headed me off before I got there. Six women have given me a variation on this, which may not sound like a large number to many here, but it was a large investment in time for me to get to that place with these women.

I know that if my confidence is shot I am done for, but brushing myself off again and again is getting more difficult every time. Logically I know that I am in much better shape than the majority of men in my age cohort, make good money, am clever enough to get by, and can be entertaining enough to be remembered, but it continues to make not one bit of difference in so far as converting anything of these things into sexual currency. I've never gotten the feeling a woman considered me creepy, but I may be either too ugly or just too goddamn weird.

That being said, what is your trick to keeping your head up in the face of repeated instances of being a great guy blah blah blah, but romantically invisible? I have read No More Mr. Nice guy and only faintly see my old self in there. I've tried letting women come to me, and either it doesn't happen, or they enter my life and want to be my friend.
