It's about going out there. Get hobbies, meet people, do cool things.. Get an interesting life and you'll be more interesting to other people.

Same here. Been riding bikes for years, mostly attracts guys.
A few girls have asked me to take them for a ride, but most girls seem to be afraid since they all know someone who had a motorcycle accident.

Ditch video game systems, it's fucking life changing. Biggest waste of time. Ya it's fun, but its got no lasting happiness after you put it down. My game and my life (both personally and professionally) changed forever after I ditched videogames.

On the streets I was mostly approached while riding my bike. Girls waving, chats at redlights.
I approached a few girls at my workplace (we are more than 5000 people there) and on different events like parties, weddings.
There is no pickup line. Sometimes it starts with a smile , and I just tell the ladies what I feel or what I noticed like being pretty, beautiful skin or it may be something situation related. If she looks somewhat interested I just ask for her Facebook (girls in my country prefer to give facebook over phone)

You would have known the both sides of it. If you are really ugly, people around you would make you know it.
I see you are so obsessed with looks, maybe this way you try to justify the lack of success with the girls in your life.
I was there too. I was fat, around 102 kg with no success. I went to gym with a personal trainer, lost over 20 kg, got my 6 pack visible but nothing really changed. I wore different kind of outfits, spent a lot of money on grooming and still nothing changed.
I never actually thought that the problem was my lifestyle , the way I constantly tried get up to other peoples standards, wearing different kind of masks.
I always wanted to be some kind of Brad Pitt to get the hottest girls. In this case, yeah the face and the money CAN be a huge problem, if this is what you want.
I realized what I really want: to have the courage to go up to a girl I like , and to tell her the way I feel
