Don't do anything at work is my advice. Once out of a professional setting you have much bigger of a comfort zone to work with. At work it's much easier to perceive things as "out of bounds."

I'm literally living with my BF and were serious. We work together and it still makes me uncomfortable if he's too informal at work.

Do NOT break the touch barrier at work. What's your vibe together? If she's flity/inviting at work then the best move is to set up a time to hang out outside of work (preferrably not after-work drinks) and THEN you can escalate if it makes sense to.

Tell her you need to examine her hand like a doctor cause you need to know her healthy. Take her hand and softly touch all her fingers like you're heating it . Give a few compliments like "You've got really nice hands." or " I like the colors of your nails. Where did they do that?"

"Do not break the touch barrier at work" is a good rule but there are (important) exceptions to it. It is appropriate in Western countries to shake hands when greeting (especially on the first greeting). Elbows to fingers is, in general, a "safe zone", given that we're talking about brief, ephemeral contact, like "tapping a shoulder". But unless she's your wife or girlfriend, you really want to stay away from any other contact. Even if she is OK with it, your coworkers may misunderstand what is happening and report it as sexual harassment. Two consenting adults engaging in contact that is perceived by other coworkers to be sexual in nature is against policy in many companies. So, the "safe zone" isn't just about being safe with her, it's about being safe overall.

Touch is really just a way to see if she is comfortable with you, or not. If you ever work physically close and she makes a point of never brushing elbows or anything else, then she is not signaling to you that she's comfortable with you. This doesn't necessarily mean she's uncomfortable, it just means she's not signaling that she's comfortable with you. So, create openings/opportunities for her to signal that non-verbally, if she wants. But touch is only one aspect of human interaction and she just might not be a very touchy-feely person. So, pay attention to all IOIs, not just touch.

And if you are that interested in her, why not just "Shoot your shot"? I find the easiest way to do this is to already have plans for something later (that could include a +1) -- express your interest and if she reciprocates, invite her along. Now you've got a date and you don't have to worry about getting fired for sexual harassment. Win win.
