Always be honest and straight forward with your intentions?

Being honest, upfront and straightforward is definitely the best policy and it's something I do believe that everybody should always strive for. Unfortunately we don't live in a perfect world and people do not always like the truth, so people tend to try to lie to avoid conflict. While yes lies and deception can avoid problems in the short term they tend to not be a sustainable solution. On the other hand, while honesty might cause immediate problems in the short term those problems tend to be temporary and are ultimately offset by preventing the plethora of problems that deception creates.

NEVER lie to women to try and make things in your favour, it might lead to short term gain but it always has a way of biting you in the ass later. At the same time being honest and straightforward with your intentions doesn't necessarily mean laying everything on the table in one go, rather there's an art to it where you have to be subtle yet obvious. You do need to filter your words to some extent but it should be done in a way where you're not coming on too strong but getting your message across clearly. Knowing when to say certain things is key too, keep information on a need-to-know basis and don't say more than what is necessary. However, always always always be willing to clarify when asked.

For example, if there's a girl you like you're asking out, she does need to know that you are intending for it to be a date so its best you make that clear with her, she does not need to explicitly know that you want to have sex with her (FYI she can or at least should be able to infer that's the case already, so it's simply not necessary to tell her). However, if you end up at your place and you're making out on your couch, then by this point if you feel the need to clarify you can state that you intend to get freaky in the bedroom.

Personally, and I'm open to other perspectives, I don't think you should tell her your feelings. Girls don't like being told that you like them, it tends to put them on the spot. Instead you should show her that you're interested. Its important that you don't treat her just like a friend.

Be honest but also learn to frame your honest in a way that makes it sound good for you.
