You know the situation, after you’ve got the initial bit of banter out of the way and it’s at the point where you feel most inclined to wrap it up and chalk it up as a loss...
Ive never really seen this answered in a way that’s actually very helpful for guys who are struggling.
Common responses for conversation on cold approach are:
“Just be yourself and trust what you say”
...I mean sure you may seem natural that way but what if your approach has gotten you nowhere slowly and if your habit is to stay platonic.
“Watch a lot of stand up and practice witty banter”
Have done. In fact I consider myself to be significantly wittier than your average moron but a huge portion of my repartee is not the type that would do me any favours with someone I just met. Plus I’d say you need more than just a bit of banter to evaluate if you wanna see someone again.
“Just be curious and find out about them”
That approach works well enough on a date where you can have some planned questions but can be very off putting on a cold approach especially if they’re in a rush/don’t want to be drilled with questions by an opportunistic stranger.
On top of this there’s the whole pressure of making sure you don’t show interest too intensely but make sure to build a man to woman connection, evaluate her but don’t ask too many questions, don’t be too try hard but don’t be a dullard...make sure to integrate all of this but remember to just be natural..
What’s worked for you?
