I saw a really cute girl in the waiting area at the psychiatrist as I was on my way out and made a comment about how unprofessional the place was (i said something like “you probably know my full mental health history now since these walls are like fucking paper”) which she was really receptive to and we chatted for a minute as I found out she also has ADHD, then I decided to wait outside the practice and when she came out I told her I had to ask her ask her if she can relate to a specific adhd peculiarity and she exclaimed “holy shit I never thought I would meet anyone who thought that way as well” and we spent the next 2 hours talking about mental health and related topics.

As we were talking it began to feel as that we were in a British skit show - absurd shit kept happening around us such an almost naked homeless guy wearing a cape stealing from the nearby deli and getting chased out by a manager with a broom, a car accident in the parking lot that led to a little fight and a stray dog came wandering by and took a shit on the footpath which somebody stepped directly into it a few minutes later

At one point she went quiet and says “oh wow I’m getting really dizzy” and next minute she has fainted and I’ve caught her and I’m holding her for about 10 seconds whilst she’s unconscious. She was apologising and I joked that I have this effect on most women then I prop her up against a wall and sat with her until she was feeling ok again, realised it’s became she hasn’t eaten or drank anything all day, so I demanded that we get food and it basically turned into a 1st date.

We hung out for another hour talking about life and I was breaking every rule in the book by talking about very unromantic topics but she seems to love it and then she got a call and realised she was supposed to be at a work thing and had to rush off but not before she kissed me on the cheek and I got her number.

I’d be surprised if she didn’t want to meet up again but either way what an experience it was.

Goes to show that interesting things can happen when and where you least expect them
