I don’t understand why you are advertising your profession if all you are looking for is hook ups. And doctors aren’t super desirable in my mind except for hook ups so maybe it’s actually your personality. They are all married, drowning in debt, too busy for anything or totally have over inflated egos.

Hello, doctor is great hookup material - you have a little guarantee of male quality and 99% STD-free.

There is just one thing that prevents you from being hookup material. You are too serious. Obviously.

If you want to hookup, you don't need to share your profession. If however you do, it could indicate you care way too much, which induces subtle shit test, like: Wow I bet you are a good doctor... If you need to prove your worth by saying: "Yeah I am quite good... blah blah..." then you care too much and failed at being hookup. If you say "no, I am not really good, you know I failed this and blah blah", you are not really confident and not a hookup. If you say: "Well I am like the worst doctor ever, I try to seduce like every hot female patient and I have a lot of them!" Joking+indicating sexuality, you are hookup material

10 years ago I was a broke college student living at home but I've since graduated, got my own place, got financial independence, and I have not noticed a difference in my results at ALL.

But if your job is somehow affecting your results that much I would say just lie and say that you have a "lower value" type of job.

If you want a serious relationship. Then get into one. If you want a hook up then do it! A “hook-up” is a hook up no need to share personal information, it’s just fun and casual. When I want just a hook up it’s basic talk for me. They don’t need to anything about your life

I'm going to go with yes, as a 30 year old woman who has at one point been interested in pursuing casual relationships and hookups, I'd be very intimidated to be hooking up with someone who is well off in their career AND above average looking.

I am confident in the value I bring to the hookup table, looks and personality wise, I feel like I've had a lot of genuine fun with people I've met online, but as an average paid paraprofessional, it just wouldnt add up to me. I'd feel very mediocre hooking up with a doctor.

Actually there was a man who was working on his residency or something who was very persistent in trying to hookup with me and I just wasnt up for hooking up at that time. I specifically said this in my profile, & I couldn't believe he would be interested in hooking up with me. It felt like a last resort option for some reason. I think if it wasnt so sketchy that he wouldn't host or drive towards me I could have been persuaded, but he wanted me to drive to him and he said his place was off limits so it would have been a hotel? That felt gross on a few levels. Sigh. He was very handsome.

Edited to add: I think it's also entirely possible that whatever past experiences someone has had with their own pcp could have an influence on how they act around you once they find out what you do. It would be interesting to say you do something else and see how that works out for you. Maybe a medical assistant will be less intimidating, or something completely different like ... a video rental/ smoothie shop store manager lol.
