I’ll tell you one thing, don’t over complicate it. If you want to smash, smash and if you don’t want to, don’t. The thing is that there will always be a minimum of feelings coming from both parties, especially if you were good friends. If you just have sex once you will, in most cases, be able to stay friends. It will be kind of of awkward some times though. Now if you see her on a regular basis for sex, be sure to set boundaries first. You might not have strong feelings for her now and vice-versa but remember that love comes after lust.
I (20 m) had a similar story with a girl. We were good friends and one day ended up in my bed. We didn’t talk about it that much after. But from what I noticed, every time I see her, there is always a small spark. I also was sex friend with another girl, and that ended up not so good, we do not talk that much now. That was because we didn’t talk to each other when we had that relationship. Our common ennemi was jealousy. It would annoy her to see me talking to other girls even if we said that we could talk to other people. And I too could start to get jealous cause I saw her more as a plan b if I didn’t get another girl on a night out or at a party.
Don’t over complicate it, do what you feel you want to and you’ll see from there.

I think a girl should know your intentions from the beginning and be ok with it. But if you guys have been friends for a long time it is ‘almost’ impossible to be more than friends (“lovers”). Also don’t shit where you eat.

The simple answer is the answer to this question: Would you be OK if you stopped being friends after that? If the answer is yes, please do smash. However, as I understand, there might be complications with other people as well (she is hanging out with your friends too), so take that also into account.
The answer is: yes it is possible, but don't count on that.

Don’t smash. Keep it at the friend level. This will make her more crazy about you. Keep it like that until you get older and more mature.

It's possible. It's also possible to do seemingly everything right and still fuck up the friendship. Feelings get messy. I've experienced both.
Just be 110% honest about your intentions at every turn. If you don't want a relationship, don't even hint that you do or might.

It's totally possible for you to sleep with her without either of you catching feelings and remaining friends afterwards. But regardless you should realize that things between you two will never be the way they were before whatever that involves for you two.

This post had to be taken down because it appears to be focused on a specific situation or person. While Field Reports deal with specific situations and people, remember that the focus is different:
No worries though! Though the thread has been taken down, any conversations you have started here can still continue, and if you want to PM a mod to get their opinion on this thread, feel free to do so and they will still be able to weigh in.
For next time, remember that posts about a specific situational advice with a specific person are fine as field should be directed to Ask Seddit (/r/askseddit), not to be confused with Ask Reddit.
