So after a discussion recently with another RP'er about lack of content regarding anything besides women, I decided I would seek some guidance on my current career status.

Please bear in mind I live in Australia.

A bit of background on me: Currently 20 years old. Did horribly at high school as I was too pre-occupied shredding on my guitar, fapping and playing First Person Shooters. Ugh.

  • I went on to start studying a bachelor of music immediately after high-school (2013)
  • I moved out of home 2 months ago
  • Now living closer to the city in a crappy share house.
  • I pay for my rent and food using my Youth Allowance (the dole).
  • Broke up with my gf of 6 months last month. Found TRP.
  • I work one day a week as a dog washer. I hate it, but it's better than nothing.

After finding TRP I've started lifting seriously, doing a lot of reading and meditating.

I have realized I am only doing the bachelor of music to avoid taking responsibility for my life. I got too cozy on the money given to me by the government to study.

So, after wasting two and a half years of my youth, I dropped out of my course and I'm trying to decide what to do with myself.

I have always enjoyed building things, creatively and physically. I'm not the smartest guy, but I am an extremely hard worker. I am thinking of picking up a trade apprenticeship in construction; such as carpentry or plumbing and potentially starting my own business in the future. Saving and investing the money I earn.

Besides that I don't have many options as I am broke, have no workable qualifications and don't know exactly what I want to do with myself. I'm not looking for a 'do this' career, but some advice would be helpful.

All my life I've been told to do 'what I love'. I want to find a career that I love but so far I've had no luck.
