Truth truth... you speak many truths good sir. Im 34. Honestly, I only like having a wing, for "nightgame"... I mean, what else is there to do, with whoever, at 10-11pm... I wanna be social in general...

Having a wingman in nightgame, for me, would be just someone to just go bounce back to after a failed set, so that i can stand around in some spot in a bar, and not look like i came in there by myself like a psychopath or something idk lol...

I know, you can stand in a bar, any bar, at any spot practically, and be comfortable... Or rather, you should be able to... And generally, I am, aside from all the natural anxiety that I have to combat due to my natural mental illness... w/e... I'm not a victim. And I've done nightgame alone, already, for a loooong time... The company, of a wing, is in itself, mildly comfortable, especially if they've already internalized what being cool and the subtle art of not giving a fuck really is...

there seems to be some stigma, around guys going to bars where no one know their name, especially if theyre not going to drink, but to try to romance up a single lady... ESPECIALLY if people think they're "pick up artists"...

Having a wing, for me is just something that would let me feel more comfort in my social settings... I mean, lets face the superficial value of reality... It's instant Social Proof... Someone there knows you! lol So, you don't have to feel like a complete Zero when you're out.

I kid, sorta.

You can build social proof in your night out, as I have many times before, without a wing at all... I know... It's just still, more comfortable, and less lonely, with one.

It gives you the opportunity, to, move your "group" "directly" over to another group of ladies or mixed... Instead of, walking over by urself, directly, which isn't the best body language...

Having a wing, also helps you, blow off steam, have someone to talk to, a shoulder to bitch on when ur so sick and tired of all the rejections... Wings are also excellent at motivating each other to be better, more confident, more powerful, more in state, if you can find the right wings...

Aside from, jumping into sets with you, "going out" with someone, in general, changes the social dynamics of every social setting you're in. It changes your mindset in various subconscious/subtle ways.

Yes, you, don't need a wing... I've gone out, so many times without one...

I suppose, that, after my recent crazy break up, I just, don't have as much will and shit, to meet new women and give a shit about learning all about them and their friends and shit, even if they give me the time of day....

I guess, you can say, I'm not over her yet... Going out with, "serious" guys, guys who "approach" and "hustle" like "Real Men", like real Venusian Artists or PUAs or w/e superficial label you wanna wear for w/e entitlement you wanna feel, going out with Wings who know what the game is like, having someone else "hustle" with you, or before you, will help give you the motivation, to also, move forward with your life... Before life moves forward without you...

Gotcha man. Appreciate the original conversation and response because it made me think through how my game has changed when I otherwise haven’t given it too much attention. Just naturally been gravitating to what works for me over the years. I’m 28.

Putting in the effort in a social, lively night game setting to open girls to the degree that a rejection makes me look like I was obviously trying to pick up is actually out of my natural lane and style, I’m short and don’t immediately physically communicate life of the party that adds value to the shit you’ve already got going on tonight, but I’m witty, decent looking, can play the mysterious guy and I’ve learned that over the years and instead play to my strengths.

If I’m out with friends I just try to have fun and sometimes we’ll get the attention of girls nearby and if I find someone I’m interested I’m going for the phone number and telling her I have to get back with the boys, no point in looking thirsty changing my plans for a girl I just met to hopefully get my dick wet, but if you have your own shit going on and make her wait, my success rate on that first date is above 90%. In general, pick up just isn’t my priority if I’m with the boys. When I’m out solo, I’m usually just enjoying some good beer and conversation posted up at a not too busy bar with a cool setting and good people. I used to work in bars back in the day and so I just build relationships / immediate acquaintanceships with the bartender and staff so they end up being my wings and giving me social proof. You don’t have to be a former bartender to do that, just be a friendly customer, let them know they can take their time with you, figure out what makes them tick and ask questions about it (are they a beer/whiskey nerd? How has business been impacted by covid?), make some inside jokes about the other customers at the bar that are causing the bartender grief by being too picky, rude, indecisive, drunk or whatever. Sometimes the trick is just getting their early enough or on off nights to keep them company when the place is dead. Basically the goal is to have a wing in the cool bartender everywhere you go, it makes it easier when girls show up throughout the night, if I make the most effortless comments or jokes to girls they feel like I’m somebody they should probably want to talk to. For my style I think the key is finding the right venues that feed single females to a not too busy bar with staff that has time too bullshit and developing those relationships with the bartenders over time or just developing that skill. It’s always cool when a girl gives me shit that I must be a regular / alcoholic because I know everyone and I can be like nah, I just met these guys tonight lol.

It really snowballs too because a lot of people in the local scene and industry know each other. After you put in a little time to build reputation in one bar, if it’s an off night without any girls, just ask the bartender where they like to drink. 9 times out of 10 they will tell oh yeah dude go to xyz bar that’s in walking distance ask for rachel and tell her jordie sent you over - now your starting at the next spot already on 3rd base.

It’s not a silver bullet that’s going to have you opening dozens of sets each night but its worked for me and I think low effort works better in this current pandemic environment.
