ONE = LESS NEEDY. You become more invested in yourself, and less desperate for girls. You won't give off desperate vibes, call 10 times a day, or try too hard to impress her. All of which are behaviours which repel girls.

TWO = MORE CONFIDENCE. If you are happy with your life, and you're doing what you believe are awesome things, you will become more confident. Tyler spoke about this once, pointing out that some guys go out to meet girls and try to pretend to be high value, but deep down inside they know they're not, so they are in conflict with themselves. Despite the words they say, their body language and energy sub-communicates to girls that they have low self-esteem. If you're not happy with your life, affirmations and visualizations by itself won't change it and make you confident.

THREE = IMPROVE CONVERSATION SKILLS. You have more to talk about, as you're doing more with your time.

FOUR = MAKE NEW FRIENDS. By improving yourself and your lifestyle, you will meet new people as a side-effect. I once went to a seminar to learn public speaking and met a girl there I became friends with, and 3 years later we still catch up. I joined a gym, and made friends with 2 awesome guys there. All this was a side-effect of improving myself. It was easy to make friends as we shared similar interests, and by spending time with them, I could practise talking to them and improve my social skills. They were less likely to reject me for social mistakes because I wasn't a random person and we shared things in common. This is good practise for if later I go out to bars to talk to strangers I share nothing in common with.

Some people think the only benefit of improving yourself is that it increases your 'value' or makes you more attractive, but won't help your social interactions. So they use that as an excuse, and say: "Even if I make something of myself I won't be good at social interactions. So I'm going to spend all my time learning how to talk to girls."

Wrong! I wrote this to show how improving yourself will indirectly improve your communication skills.

SOCIAL SKILLS IS ONLY A SMALL PART

I want to make another point here. In my opinion, learning good communication skills counts for less than 10% in success with women. Working on yourself, your career, exercise, etc, make up more than 90%.

If you see a guy with a good lifestyle who is struggling with girls, then he needs to work on his communication skills, or possibly an internal issue with his beliefs or mind.

What he should not do is quit his job and spend all his time chasing girls for the next few years.

I hear this argument a lot: "I know a successful guy with good career, and hobbies, who exercise a lot, but he still struggles with girls. So I'm going to use that as an excuse not to try to be successful."

But that successful guy already has 90% of what he needs! Once he learns conversation skills he will get great results with girls.

The guy with just social skills only has 10%. He has a much longer way to go.

It may not be apparent at first, as guys with social skills or 'game' can get more short-term attention from girls. And I think this is what creates a lot of confusion.

The guy with good social skills but nothing else may appear to do better with girls than some guys with good lifestyle but no communication skills. Although a lot of guys with good lifestyle end up developing their social skills due to the 4 reasons mentioned, but some guys do still struggle. And these guys get mistakenly used as 'evidence' that conversation skills are all that matters.

But the reality is social skills is not enough.

It's good to practise talking to girls. But also remember that working on yourself makes you more attractive, and also indirectly improves your social skills.
