Who pays the bills? Men or Woman?

I have been seeing a lot of chaos around this from women's side and idk why. Earlier times men would pay as theey were the only people who EARNED money. Women weren't allowed to work. But now, everyone earns so what's the harm if woman pays?

Women give many excuses as to why women shouldn't pay. The excuses being :

I want to see if he can support a family ( is it only his job to support a family and not yours? How would you feel if he tested you this way?)

It's about the manners and being a gentleman ( Why can't you be a lady and show your manners too?) .

And the latest.. I wear makeup worth XYZ $ ( That was your wish to wear, he never forced you. If you're using that logic maybe you should consider the price of the car he drive in and the fuel costs)

I'm fed up of these excuses. Coz none of them have any logical explanation on why women can't pay. What are your thoughts on this?
