I feel like fundamentals mentioned here are always the same. The advice is often to get out there and just approach but it can be hard for newbies.

There are certain things that help get out of your shell. For example, I have been trying to smile more at girls when I make eye contact or approach male strangers and make some comments to get the social skills warmed up. What are some other similar tips that do not involve directly approaching a stranger girl?
