“Almost every male figure in my life has been violently abusive to me” I just highly doubt when anyone says something like this this…and I just assume it is misandry based on their own bad home life or maybe growing up in some insular toxic community like a cult or something. Just imagine if someone replace “male” with “black/Hispanic…etc…” No one would give someone who said that the benefit of the doubt that every black person in their life was horrible…the assumption would be that they are racist to some degree or eat a few bad experiences define their worldview. Also few women are simply female separatists like she is saying…most misandrists want to live in the same society with men but make their lives more difficult and demonize them for perceived injustices.

I don't hate women because my alcoholic first wife physically abused me for four years and made me genuinely fear to take my eyes off her during one of her self-named "red rages" when she literally saw the world tinged in red because she was likely to pick up a knife and kill me if I turned my back.

I don't hate women as a whole just because the people who traumatized me in high school were women. I just hate those women specifically because of what they did to me.
