Safest to assume she will go full nuclear and use everything agaisnt you. Imagine every step you take is under a microscope.

There’s a ton. Your five year old should probably do 7 on and 7 off since they’re school age. Your 2 year old school do something like a 3-4-4-3 or 5-2-2-5.

You can google a ton of it but coparenting classes should offer those resources for parenting schedule.

Here is the deal. There isn't much un-biased research either way. Most I can find is "Look at this one case where the dad killed the kids! That's why dads need to get supervised visitation only! And full custody for the mom."

Best to do is to maintain a relationship with your kids, and take all time you can get with the kids and document it. Then put your best face forward in family court.

But also realize that depending on your jurisdiction and the discretion of the presiding judge? Family court can be VERY mother-centric.

For example, my exwife had a great big DUI crash with the kids in the car. Driving high as a kite on pills when she plowed into the back of a pickup truck at 40mph. Kids were all banged up with black eyes and goose egg bruises. She did jail time and got $7500 in DUI fines. And that's when I filed for divorce. You think with that? Me being a great dad with a clean record? 50/50 custody is what I got and I was thankful to get it, because my exwife was pushing for me to get visitation only.

What is the current situation? Do you live under the same roof as your children today? State? Do you have well-written parenting journal? Do you go to all doctor appointments and teacher meetings?

Start documenting everything. Spend as much time with the kids as possible. Never give up your time with the Kids.

SET THE STATUS QUO.

I'm in the exact same boat. She's trying to take them away but I see them more than her. Make sure you see your kids

Get a journal, and every day document where the kids are, who brings them to school/picks them up, where they sleep, pickup and drop off times.

Set the norm. Once the norm is set, it'll be harder for her to take them away
