Well, duh. If you're a guy who interacts with babies (or even children) regularly, you're going to see that you do so differently (though not necessarily hugely so) than women do, which is going to lead you to see masculinity as something more inherent than the blind adherence to sociosexual norms that it's usually seen as. Actually having, and raising, children of your own would logically just make the impression stronger.

Remember the "exploring your masculinity" tape from In & Out? Back in the 90's, that scene was COMEDY.

And the reason is that fathers are unlikely to place themselves in any piss-leftist discourse about gender. We don't only reject the discussions but we don't even let any of it color off on our sense of identity. Nothing of it resonates.

Fatherhood is something you do, every day. Thoughts of identity are meaningless to caring for the wellbeing of your children.
