One of my favorite singers (Barbra Streisand) is a pop diva, most of her fans are women, but you can’t ignore her famously gay audience. Like I’ve even heard it in movies how gay her male listeners are.

But why even say use the preface of gay? Plenty of men - gay, straight, whatever, are fans of woman musical artists. I'm not trying to come at you specifically, but I've recently noticed a rise in the grade school mentality of "you can't like this thing, you aren't the exact demographic for it/ the identity of the artist!" and it's so damn stupid. We're going backwards in every way - from important issues to more minor ones.

I remember my homophobic mother wouldn't let me get a QUEEN shirt when I was in high school because she didn't want me getting picked on beaten up for possibly being gay....

I'm a regular ol' straight white male and I'm a Swift fan. A Chappell Roan fan. A Charli XCX fan. A Sabrina Carpenter fan. A FKA Twigs fans. An Orville Peck fan. A Janelle Monae fan. A Perfume Genius fan. A Kim Petras fan. A SZA fan. I could go on. I'm a big fan or where pop, hip-hop, and all of it's various genre permutations are at these days.
