I'm a gay man and I have a bf. I grew up believing that being gay is a bad thing. I kept on wondering what if I was a str8 person. I'm str8-looking so I could fake it but never felt like it. Eventually I embraced my sexuality and felt happy about it. At the same time I realized how difficult it has become to be a str8 man.

Like seriously how can you even date a woman when she can blame you for literally anything and she will get believed because a man is always wrong. True that not all women are not like that and just like there are bad and good men so goes for women. But still, I think that everything is at risk.

You can get accused for a sexual assault and this is enough to cancel your career. You can get a family and if your wife decides to divorce she will get both the children and a part of the money and if she doesn't make it initially, she will accuse you for something and she will get it.

You know what's always wrong? Picking sides. And society to a large degree has picked the women's side and decided that all men are wrong. You can't stay all women are this, it's offensive. But they can claim that all men are potential rapists or whatever.

And about men showing emotion and cryzing? Oh please. They don't want men to cry. They will be considered weak. They talk about toxic masculinity but they will also talk about fragile masculinity. What's fragile must be protected not preyed upon.

Have you seen all those action and horror movies? Men either die or get tortured and all these for a woman to survive in the end. Men are disposable.

And you know what? I have received bad and nasty behaviors when coming out from men. But women were equally nasty at times. I'm half untouched and half touched by all that. I don't feel threatened for getting accused by a woman for a sex crime because I have no interest in them. But society is build upon protecting women, not men

I come from Greece. Men serve a military duty. Why not women? Am I supposed to die for the country but they won't defend it? Why is my life less important than theirs?

I felt like sharing these thoughts here. Hate only generates hate. I do understand that women have survived unfaire treatment especially in the older days, but we can't blame all today's men for the mistakes of the past. And the same goes for men. Do all these protesting women know what we've been through? Men dying at wars, gays throughout history pretending to be straight males, men not showing emotions, men trying to support they family working in ships, out in the open ocean or in other hard works?
