It would have been better to say- I would love some skin care tips- How about we could go to Sephora/Ultra and you could help me find some products? Then you’re interested in her interest and not just jumping to touching her.

Sorry but it didn’t look like the conversation was heading somewhere not sex related. She started the question asking about your intentions and about your interests. Instead of asking her about her skin care, you ask to touch her skin, a weird pick up. The questions seem just as basic as the answers given, maybe she just got bored, didn’t look like a lot of effort was given.

Also on her part her conversation is quite dry, so I’m not sure how far you would’ve gotten anyway.

Bro that “Really id like to touch your skin and see how soft it it” please for the love of whoever don’t let your intrusive thoughts win like that next time and actually think before you speak because dude that was creepy. Instead of saying something say something like this “what do you like to eat the most?” I’d honestly completely ignore the skin care part because that’s just me or you could ask what products do she use but anything to keep her talking is much better than the skin touching part

In women's perspective it would be easily categorised as "creepy". You came out with this touching move out of the blue, no emotions and mutual dynamics that would backup it. Such lines are good for sex chat and here you exchanged few casual information and jumped suddenly to completely different context. If you want to use this information it would be better to go with something lighter like "Nice, so what would you suggest to my skin that would make me more handsome?"
