Actually, girls don't outperform boys in school or behave better. They just get special treatment for the same behaviors/academic abilities or worse. They are treated like an older child's younger sibling

We always see campaigns getting women into academia, despite the fact that women outnumber men by a huge amount in college graduations and they make up 79% of all college graduates in the education industry.

I think this is generally known that female teachers are feminist activists who see everything as the Pay-tree-arch-EEE and girls are oppressed and boys have the world build to their benefit. IT's ideological.

I also thing there is more concern among parents about boys not seeing any men. But secretly I thinik people are nervous about the anti-male bile in college where these teachers are trained which is undoubtedly in schools.

Men just aren't pushing hard enough for anything to be done.

There is literally no point in Academia where boys are favored over girls.

The overwhelming majority of disciplinary actions are taken against boys.
Boys develop more slowly and are usually less prepared to enter elementary school.
Boys are marked more strictly when turning in the same work.
Boys are penalized for roughhousing with friends, which is a highly-beneficial step in learning emotional regulation.
College scholarships favor girls.
When tests favor boys, the test is often changed to favor girls or completely discarded.

I have a master's degree in an education field, and every gender-based discussion was exclusively about helping girls succeed in school. It's the most baffling fucking thing. Boys are behind, but hey, let's help girls win in every field.

All I can say is this: if you have sons, try to send them to all-boys' schools with as many male staff as possible.

I will admit the boys I’ve seen at other schools act just as good as girls, but get treated worse. For some reason at my school we had a group of boys that were horrible. But we also had that for girls, the boys were just worse.

Back in high school, I remember doing a joint project in school with a girl. Both submitted the same work (Joint project of course) she got a 9, I got a 3. When I enquired why this happened - I merely got the response of 'well, on your paperwork. Your photos looked a bit blurry' and 'we have a suspicion you only did 1/3 of the work'. Then laughed. It was a shite school, I must admit.

Schools discriminate against boys all the time. Even my 12 year old daughter and her female friends can see it.

My son (14) and his male friends see it. But they deal with it pretty well. They focus on the traditional way of being. Lift weights, do martial arts, be competitive, pretty much be the opposite of what the female teachers in the schools try to push on particularly straight boys.

They say, competition is evil, the boys get more competitive. They try to side with girls in a troubled situation that the girl started, the boys make sure to have a tight argument to prove their case.

You have to be a different kind of guy today in school, especially if you're hetero.

Ive taught before and have a degree in education and am also a medical student with a strong background in psychology.

Girls simply get slightly higher grades and they average a 3.2 vs a 3.0 GPA. This is equivalent to an 85.3% for girls vs an 83% for boys - really not much different.

The real difference where boys shine is test results. In Indiana, boys outscore girls in Math, Science, and Social Studies while girls outscore boys in reading. You can see those results here.

In AP courses, girls are around 55% of the population but boys take significantly harder courses, as you can see the breakdown here . Boys take significantly more physics, mechanics, economics and computer science while girls take more art and literature. Boys also outscore girls in 26 out of the 36 AP subjects, including EVERY STEM courses, some by large margins. The only subjects girls outscore boys are in art and languages by smaller margins. The idea of a boy crisis is questionable. Boys are actually outcompeting girls in many areas. The real crisis is the bias from female teachers that's been proven through many studies and sadly witnessed myself.

I hope the parents of these abused boys sue both the school board and the teachers personally responsible. Gender bias has no place in our schools and leads to a lifetime of misery for the victims. Teachers and school boards should (and do) know better
