A single mom will not be available all the time. She will look for a father figure for her kid. Also, if you get attached to the kid but you and the girl don't work out, it is emotionally painful for you and the kid.

I've dated single moms before. It's your life, I don't think it's worth it unless she's just a plate.

Spending money taking caring of someone else's kids? Absolutely not, on top of that they will in no way shape or form listen to your authority as the leader in the household claiming your not there dad but you will still be obligated to feed them buy them stuff and all the other things. Rich Cooper has a video on the reasons why it's a bad idea I would recommend watching it. It's definitely conditioning, really consider who in the equation will benefit most from this?

It’s not like you can’t love this woman or that single moms can’t be attractive or successful. It just rarely works out in the long term.

Regardless of what she says now, you will become a quasi father with limited rights and will not love these kids as your own.

Even if she pays for them, you will still have to pay with your time. This includes parenting, picking up slack that the mom can’t do because she’s a single mom, dealing with bad mood swings started by the kids or ex husband, dealing with the ex husband, etc.

If you’re willing to do that, fine. But I can almost guarantee that she will not be grateful. This is due to the fact that she will do more for her own kids because it’s her own blood, and she’ll view that as you “not being a man” or something along those lines

As someone who just went through your exact situation and wasted 3 years of my life, I suggest you tread lightly. I still love the lady, but she really impaired my life

I'm going to go against the grain to just about everyone else on here. For what you're looking for; single mothers can work.

I've seen men settle down with women with children, have a great relationship and get married. One of my family members married a young mom, and they have two kids of their own. She had a kid out of wedlock, but because she was Catholic; her parents/culture didn't believe in abortion. They're great together and married 30 years.

Just understand; that she can't fully love you the way you want because her child comes first. It's a risk; and just about everything is a risk-- including getting into a relationship with any women.

Hi. I did this 20 years ago and raised her child as my own. Great husband, great dad, raised the kid flawlessly, and had created a dream home and relationship. Tantric sex 5-15x a week. Women can only think 1 or two moves ahead so playing chess with them won’t work. She and her daughter need to be able to see clearly that even a day without you would sting.
