I absolutely believe that similar to women, men also face discrimination. Both genders face different challenges. It's just that society cares more about women than men.
I feel that a man can be an easy target for a woman with a malicious purpose. You can't be viewed as a rapist/abuser or whatever just because somebody said that you are and many people need no other proof apart from that. This is pure madness.
I've never dated a woman. But as I understand the current situation, I could have sex with a woman, get accused for lack of consent even though she wanted to but decided to say that she didn't. And if she got pregnant (just because the pills didn't work, the condom broke or whatever) she could go perfectly with the "my body my choice" but her choice would mean that i would pay for 2 decades for a child that I would not been even able to parent.
In my country there is obligatory military duty for males only. As a male before finding a job you are almost always required to have completed your military service. If you haven't the won't pick you because they know that at some point you have to go and serve (duration service 9-12 months). But women don't have that problem they can find a job right after their graduation. At war they expect me and all the other fellow men to die but they will be sitting home. I will face the war, we men will face the war on the first lines.
Many girls/women take for granted that we will escort them back home. Why should I risk my life just because of somebody's gender? Many women talk about equality and feminism but they want a macho guy that shows no emotion but at the same time is no abusive and is willing to pay for everything.
And seriously I believe it's also a man's fault because straight guys just seem to do anything to be with a woman because they're thinking with the wrong head.
I grew up believing that being a gay guy is a problem. Now I see it as a deviation from straight sexuality. I'm just a guy who likes other guys, I'm not queer. And do you know what I enjoy most? That my partner and I are supporting each other, I'm not afraid that a lie of his could destroy my life or that I would just have to pay just because of his gender. I'm not saying that being gay is the solution. I'm saying that being straight also requires some fraternity and thinking with the right head and push for changes right as feminists are doing right now.
