Because "oh look how this poor girl is getting through this difficult situation" it's sympathy points.

Not undue sympathy points, being a teen mom is an insane struggle, but sympathy points nonetheless

As for the whole rape thing, it's because any focus would be on the boys getting raped, not on them becoming father's.

Even when it's not OPs point, something is missing here, of course pregnancy is a gigantic struggle for a girl, but the thing is that you NEVER heard about teen dads and how to support them, considering they are as responsible for the pregnancy as the moms.

You will only herd "now he must get a job and be a man, blah blah" , pushing them to be a providing tool for default (as happen to every man soon or later), they hide them under the rug immediately.

I'll say this after watching a guy go through the rigors of dealing with this...

They don't talk about these men because they don't even see them as human. The woman is a tragic victim of her own foolishness, the guy is a monster who impregnated her. They just want him to be a provider with no help given. He got them both into the mess he's got to "step up" and work on a sin he'll never repay.

I wouldn't make the assumption that teen pregnancies are a result of rape. In the US most states will recognize consent between at least some teenagers. 16 is the most common age of consent, but with age difference restrictions that can be lower. It's a poor choice at that age but not an illegal one.

Becouse after they get r4ped thir r4pist probably won't ever give their child, there are only few situation like this, meanwhile when a girl get r4ped and after she will born that child she is raising that child not a rapist. Because of biology. It is extremely rare for a man at that age to father a child. Women usually prefer much older men at that age.

Well being a teen mom isn't 'victim.' Though it could be. Just like being a teen dad doesn't make you a victim. But you could be one.

I think it's mostly cuz there was a tv show. Also? Yeah the whole gestating a human inside of you is tougher than not having it gestate inside of you. So that's gonna be prioritized. Cuz you can die from it. You can't die from your girlfriend being pregnant.

To be fair in those situations it is quite different. (Unless they are focusing on the rape aspect). I'm specifically talking about cases like 2 teens do the deed and a kid comes.

The teen mum would go through pregnancy and if still living with her parents (aka they haven't kicked her out or something) then childcare and the burden of the baby will fall on her more heavier.

Can still affect the dad but his day to day life could remain relatively unchanged maybe now he just pops in to see the baby but other than that the baby is with the mum.

The dad is just the teen who, "knocked her up," (if hes not assaulted by his potential in-laws and his own parents) until after the birth, then people say all sorts of things.

The hard truth is that they procreated with irresponsible men. It’s easier for the man to offload a child onto a woman simply bc of pregnancy. That’s why there are more single moms.

That’s because feminism implies this criteria of women being the only victims of assault and sexual harassment. Even so, in UK women can’t even go prison for rape, that’s classified as other sexual abuse which is punished less harshly. But to not make this reply longer than it already is, it’s basically the lack of awareness that feminism and society as a whole give for male victims. Women have been oppressed for centuries and that defines their actions of only speaking for women victims, which is both unethical and stupid

Because there’s a LOT more teen moms than teen dads. Guys that fvck/r@pe a girl and once they find out she’s pregnant he just leaves. Usually teen dads at least get support because the mom is A LOT less likely to leave. Also, teen moms deal with pregnancy. Constant aches, vomit, lots of pain, morning sickness, tired, hard to move(for 9 entire months straight), and don’t even start on the actual birthing process.

Pregnancy is hard! Huge physical, emotional, and psychological changes. Her health is almost guaranteed to suffer and if it is something that could be fixed with medicine it very well might not be fixed if the medicine is harmful to the fetus. Also, her well being, not his, is tied to the wellbeing of the fetus.

Also, the number one cause of death of pregnant women is homicide. There’s no additional mortal danger to men whose sperm is currently growing a fetus in a woman’s uterus.

Do you know how many pregnancies (or teen pregnancies) are caused by the woman raping the man? I can’t find the statistics. I’ve seen examples but they’re always anecdotal.
