NEVER< EVER join any military, you will regret doing it at sometime. If you survive your service once you leave the military any promises made to you by your government will be forgotten about. Whats happens to your child if you get unalived or maimed for life. Please do not do it.

I'm pretty sure that Russia won't start any new major war conflict after failure in Ukraine, even if Trump will manage to stop the current war. Yet I don't really advise anyone to join army in any country - you can be sent away as peacekeepers or into smaller conflicts all over the world, and will fight against different mercenaries, not just locals.

It sounds like the potential for war is increasing, so whilst enlisting during peacetime is simply a career choice, enlisting now could put you in real danger in the near future, especially since you don't have conscription, but enlisting you would effectively be conscripting yourself.

You also have a young son who you would be less likely to see as often if employed in the defense services, especially if tensions are heightened and they require active posturing and deployment to defend against attacks.

Enlistment is possible at any time, so I would urge caution in pursuing that avenue and concentrate on finding a civilian job. Can you undertake further education and training in some discipline aligned with your interests, without spending money you don't have, to better your employment prospects?

Above all, look after your health and safety, especially when having sex with people of unknown health status.

Dude, as someone who unfortunately happens to live in a country that invaded Ukraine and made threats against your country, I can assure you that the war will NOT turn hot. This is just an empty threat. Putin knows that if he "turns the cold war hot" that's gonna be the end for him
