I got into a heated argument with my father over the Atul Subhash case. As I'd expected, he called him a coward and fool for dying alone. I was stunned, and not in a good way. I told him even I had faced false accusations and violence from girls before, and that's why I am afraid I could face this at workplace. He called me a negative person and that it can never happen to me.

When I told mom about this fiasco, she gave a politically correct answer but at least didn't yell at me for my past trauma.

Meanwhile, attempts to tarnish Atul Subhash's reputation continue on social media.

Poor dead man can't even defend himself beyond his letters, and even those are being twisted to justify misandry.

I feel my ability to empathize with the innocent is no less than a curse. In the end, I can't do anything to prevent it and that leaves me feeling helpless.

It's also tragic to see so many "specialists" who are experts at shutting down misandrist women are not with us in this because we are not from their country. Why do my countrymen even tag them hoping to fix anything? They don't care at all.

That's why I've decided to completely pull the plug on social media and negativity. And this time, including Reddit. This whole tragedy has opened my eyes, and at the risk of sounding what they call misogynistic, I can never trust an Indian woman after this. They hated us when one of them died, they hate us even more when we want a reform for our slain brothers. We carried out marches and protests for women who were victims, and see how many of them turned up for a man.

Goodbye Reddit, call me back when there's finally some justice for the men of India.
