Historically, reigning queens have been twice as likely to declare war as male leaders, and in many cases a king's wife would drive the man into declaring war to impress his wife. A notable example being the King of Prussia during the Napoleonic wars, with his wife demanding the King to join the coalition against France, against his own better judgement. Had the King not tried to impress his wife, Prussia wouldn't have been devastated by the Napoleonic occupation and would have been in an otherwise better position to potentially unify Germany far sooner than what happened in reality post Napoleonic wars.
