I know others have made posts about emojis on here but I haven't seen anything about reacting to texts with emojis. I'm not much of a texter and believe that "reacting" to a text with an emoji is a good way to conclude the interaction without leaving them feeling "on read"

For one, is this necessary to do? I usually like to do it as a courtesy to just acknowledge their last text. Sometimes I wonder though if its needed.

Secondly, what are some good ones to react with? I used to use 👍 a lot but idk if that comes across a certain way. 🔥🙏 are good ones for me depending on context but I'm curious what y'all think. Is ❤️ too much early on? And is 😊 or 🙂 bad ones to use as well? Naturally I like the thumbs up but idk at this point.

Probably overthinking all of this, but I'm curious about what all of your thoughts are on this topic. Do you just respond with an actual message instead of reacting? What are your go-to's? If its not a flirty message and you're reacting just to acknowledge plans or well wishes? If it is a flirty text but you are just acknowledging with nothing really to send back atm?
