My ex and I broke up last July after five years together. She dumped me like I was nothing, and we hadn’t spoken for a month and a half. Then, out of nowhere, she reached out, saying she wasn’t feeling great. We met up, spent the night together, and had sex.

Now she says she only wants sex, nothing more, and that this could stop at any moment if either of us finds someone else. She made it clear she’ll never want to get back together because she knows what she wants—and I’m not it. She told me that when we were together, I was too shy, lacked confidence, and was too negative.

The problem is, I think I still love her. I want her to want more, to fall for me again, to want something serious. But right now, it feels like I’m just a temporary option.

How do I turn this around? Is there any way to make her see me differently, to make her want more? Or am I just fooling myself?

Has anyone been in a similar situation? What would you do? Any advice on how to win her back?
