My ex wife was fucking my best friend and got pregnant. I will never talk to that garbage again. I have a very successful career but she went for a guy who has deeper pockets yet, good news is he's dumping her and he was cheap as fuck with her.

The funny thing about all of these stories is that there isn’t a single man who will react “honorably” to this situation in the eyes of women. That might be an obvious clue how deep false paternity hurts men and shouldn’t just be dismissed or compounded by court-ordered child support payments for a child that’s not his.

Morally and ethically there should be consequences as it's one of the worst frauds that can be committed against someone. Serious question: if you were a man who is in a happy 10+ year relationship...would you even want to know?

Governments know they cannot mandate DNA testing as it would throw society into chaos. Imagine all the broken families and social issues that would arise from this. Not to mention the financial burden on tax payers to subsidize the monumental amount of social services that would be required for all these single moms and mistake children hitting the streets. And at the end of the day, the ultimate suffering will be from the next generation of kids due to their mom's selfishness, and only lawyers would benefit.

I'd be curious if there's any sort of data that attempts to estimate how much of a % of the population is a result of illegitimate or infidelity births.

I saw a reddit post today on another subreddit about a man wanting to paternity test his kid because the hair is darker. Most people in the comments are saying that it feels like an accusation of infidelity or projection, ie he says that he wants a rest because he is the one who cheated. There are lots of comments like that. Or that the hospital switched babies accidentally and they were given the wrong baby. If that was the case then the couple would be able to sue the hospital but if that happens to a man they are out of luck if they sign the birth certificate.

It's a good idea to trust but verify and get a DNA test done for the mans sake and the baby's as well so they know who the bio dad is.

It seems like a majority on Reddit seems ok with women having a to go bag and money stashed away in case the man happens to become abusive in a marriage. It's a precaution for them.

However the moment a man wants to be cautious with signing a birth certificate and wants to make sure the baby he will raise for the rest of his life is his own everyone gets upset and says that the man should trust the woman. They never say that about the woman and she should trust the man she decided to marry to not be abusive so she shouldn't need to stash money away or have a to go bag.

I know they aren't exactly the same but the double standard is still there. This is how I see Reddit viewing woman's actions vs men's. The woman shouldn't have to take the man at his word that he won't turn abusive and she should make a plan in case it happens. Men should take a woman at her word and not get a test done because it is accusing her of cheating. It's just another example of double standards when it comes to men and women. If an man does something then it is bad and if a woman does it then it is empowering.

The idea of handing everyone's genetic data over to the government to be collected in a single database has less merit than tabula rasa, spontaneous generation, or patriarchy theory.

I keep seeing this here, and it never ceases to be anything but people throwing the future away out of spite over unfaithful women. Find a better way.

And stop calling for this; you're embarrassing the movement.
