It comes down to gynocentrism and male-female wiring. Women are drawn to women because they are indoctrinated with anti-male information since childhood and they feel that another fellow woman is automatically their friend. They also have a tendency to take a few cases of bad men they encounter and apply it to every man they meet. A lot of this is due to how prevailing emotional trauma is and not being able to use reason to fight false generalizations in their head. Men naturally feud amongst themselves because they see others as rivals and often because they consider other men as threats to women they want to be with.

The solution is to have boys join boy-only groups early on to build friendship, solidarity and positive male relations and so they can continue that as they get older. Men have to support men. But a lot of male-only spaces are lost and a lot of men realize they have little or no friends as they get older, probably the reason why men make 80% of all suicides worldwide.

This is all just a random guess and theory.

One reason they treat it differently is because the boys are eventually going to grow into men and gain more strength so its more of a teach them whilst they are young thing so its ingrained so they don't hit their wives in the future which would have been a big concern in the past before telephones and stuff like WhatsApp were popular. And for women they see it in the light of if the man is really in trouble he would be able to fight back but the same can't be said the other way around. Probably a community thing to ensure everyone's daughters were safe. Not saying I agree but I imagine that's its origin. Often traditions have a reason for existing and were once useful even if they currently have outlived their usefulness.

About lighter accountability, that's just plain sexism. No real root in any logic or necessity like I said above. Just a classic case of women always being the victim and needing male help then go onto hating men online. For men its white knights/simps (might be hiding under the disguise of chivalry) and for women its just self serving. Of course your going to want women to get lighter sentences and consequences because that means when you do it you'll get off light.

Gynocentrism.

I was just watching this true crime show last night and the cop at the end goes something like "I'll do everything in my power to make sure it's safe for women." Like wtf, I'm pretty sure cops are supposed to help make things safe for everyone, but this guy obviously worships at the alter of gynocentrism.
