Posting on this sub because I think some of the realest advice on this stuff comes from here.

I'm 24m and I haven't dated (or hooked up) with anyone for over a year now. This isn't intended to be an incel post, because I know I could get a girlfriend if I wanted one. However, I do feel like I've simply lost a step over the years. I've dated some pretty good looking girls and I've had a few LTRs to this point; I'm just in a dry spell that's lasted for a while.

One issue is my career, as I'm in-between jobs and haven't fully launched since graduating college. This will eventually come through in a year or two, so I'm not too concerned long-term. Unfortunately, this means I'm still living at home with my parents. I find it awkward and nearly impossible to bring a girl over to this house right now so, as previously stated, I haven't hooked up with anyone. I've seen a few of my friends get married, and I'd say over half of the people I'm close to are in a long-term relationship. I can't help but feel left out at this point, and I go through spells where I'm downright sad about where I'm at. I shake it off eventually, but it still happens.

If I am to be single (which is how it's looking until I move out), how can I use this time efficiently? I don't want to waste it being depressed or wishing things could've been different in the past. In other words, how do I get some swagger back in me going forward? I know some people who are single that live free and without anxiety... I envy those people because my mind space is often occupied by women, finances, etc. I want to come out of this a better man at the end of the day, especially when it comes to confidence in myself.

Some things to note: I'm in great shape, decent looking, etc. Not worried about anything physically. My habits could probably be better, although I've cut back significantly when it comes to drinking. It's mostly just my mindset and headspace that feels off.
