What’s up everyone, 23M here. I’m a beginner in all honesty, even though I’ve had a couple LTRs and hookups. Those were only ever due to my height & looks or status, however. I’m a former college athlete, so everything was always given to me either through school or social circles.

Now that I’m in the ‘real world’ and single, I feel like I’m trying too hard. I never approach girls because I’ve never had to before. I have zero mouthpiece because I never needed it. I hope this makes sense? Not trying to make come off as a conceited POS - I’ve been working super hard this past year to fix my insecurities and anxiety.

Do guys mostly just go up to women you find attractive and start a conversation? It’s so alien to me; I have a hard time knowing where to start. I go to bars once or twice a month, but everyone seems to be in a group so it seems difficult to interject at times. Is there a certain mindset I can refer to? I feel good physically and I’m beginning to feel better mentally… how can I put it all together so I can start having more options for myself?
