what are some good strategies or tactics to use when I'm talking to a chick and I get interrupted by a friend or something comes up that causes my interaction to end?

I will be talking to a chick and usually it's cause my wing and the interaction between him and the friend sours,

.. (I'm not really sure what's going on between them since I'm not listening to their convo and I'm focused on the chick I'm talking to after the initial approach where everyone is talking to each other and now it's the wing talking to the friend and it's me talking to the chick I like) ..

and now the friend comes in between my interaction with the chick I'm talking to and is asking to go somewhere else because she wants to get away from my wing.

Right now, I don't really do anything at the moment besides just saying goodbye to the chick I'm talking to.

My plan is usually to continue talking to other chicks the rest of the night and trying to find the girl later on as I move throughout the club venues and if I do see her again, basically approach again and continue where we left off but so far, I haven't been able to do this since I either can't find them or I'm too invested in other chicks later on and just forget.

How do you guys handle this? I also thought about when this does happen, I should be asking for contact details something like "hey before you go, let me just get your number" or something along those lines. My game plan for the night is usually to escalate with women that night rather than going for numbers but since interaction is going well, you never know but would like some ideas on what you guys do when this shit happens?
