So talking to my attorney is out. Going to end the contract with them once I receive the custody paperwork. May use them to notarize if my ex agrees to the agreement and pay the remainder of the fees.

I digress. Ex and I have had a verbal agreement since the last week of May. She has the children 4 nights one week and one week I have them 4 nights.

Now this week is chaotic. We both work in healthcare. So, normally, my schedule is Thursday through Saturday. My ex is Monday through Wednesday with work. So I have the children every Sunday and every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

This week is my ex 4 night's week. So she had the children Monday night and Tuesday night. Wednesday night and tonight, Friday is the plan. Then I had them Sunday night, Thursday night, and tomorrow night.

The issue is my 5-year-old has a dance recital tomorrow and rehearsal tonight. I was going to message my X because we won't be home till 8 tonight then probably won't be exchanging them till 830/9 tonight. I was going to send a message to my ex asking if it is okay if I keep them tonight, get them ready, come by in the morning, pick them up, and have them the rest of the day.

I think that sounds fair. She has already said "no" twice this week with me asking to help out by taking one of the children and bringing them over to the recital. She is a fool for not taking that offer up of me either picking one of the children up in the morning or having one stay over. I'm trying to make it less stressful for my daughter. My ex will have to get up at 6 to get everyone fed, changed, prepped, and ready by 8. Then out the door by 830.
