This post is for my buddy, I think he divorced in 2022 and has 50% custody. he is currently staying at my place and have been helping him with bills here and there. he doesn't ask for it. but I do it out of my own.

Yesterday, we had a heart felt conversation about life in general as I am a sick and might not have a long life for me and he confessed he was thinking to take his own life if he lose custody of his kids.

His wife keeps taking him to court to modify custody, if kids are late to school. He is completely drained. his lawyer says she will do that until the kids are 18 and there is nothing the lawyer or the court can do to stop her. She comes from money and he is barely being able to feed his kids. he can't pay rent anymore. how is this the best interest of the children to keep taking the father to court to the point he cannot afford groceries for the kids.

Is there really he can do? he asked her lawyer and he said they cannot ask for lawyer fees on those cases except for contempt but if she decide to take her to court next month again there is nothing for him to do but to fight
