What fantasy world do these people live in

Woman in sweater and plain jeans? Yes please
[–]shopinhower 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Yeah exactly, finally one that doesn’t dress like a hooker/trailer whitetrash.
[–]soft_white_yosemite 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Easy. I’m fine with those too.
[–]Relaxed_Helper 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I will take that over hooker outfits that some women wear

damn i want to live in the world these people describe
[–]DistrictAccurate 5 points6 points7 points 1 year ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Minus women receiving the described comments. That is not desirable.

My wife moved from a part of the country where makeup every day was normal, or dare I say mandatory. It took her a while to be ok with not doing her makeup sometimes. No one here, aside from her, would care all that much.

SoCal? I’m trying to figure out what part of the county cares the most

She previously lived in south east Texas.

I’m in Austin, I wouldn’t have thought people felt they needed to wear makeup more than anywhere else. In fact, much less so in this city. Most of my exes wore little to know makeup most of the time. I’ve never heard anyone really mention a lack of makeup, especially not a man, though I suppose that sort of discrimination is less verbal and sometimes even subconscious
But I imagine if she was, say, a realtor in DFW, that’s a little bit different than an accountant in Austin.

They say Austin is weird, but then again Houston has swanga wheels. I have no personal experience with Texas. She was in Houston. Before that, she was in Alabama. She caused a scandal once by wearing pants to church. Some places are just really conservative I guess. Definitely not a realtor.

Yeah mediocre books and mediocre movies are super profitable and sell really, really well. People are queing up for them. What a total donut head.

Also didn’t 50 Shades and Twilight have terrible women in the lead role, appeal to an only female demographic, and do incredibly well?
Also JK Rowling is a lot worse than “mediocre” and seems to be doing fine

LOLOL we have a current invasion of feminist women in the culture that has trashed comics moves and gaming!
Marvel comics has been flooded with female writers, and it has killed their sales. (try reading their stories, they are awful.)
Gaming studios have been flooded with females, and the quality has dropped. Also sweet baby is feminist, and that has lead to even worse quality of games.
We have had over a decade of girl boss movies, and tv shows that have failed.
Before women where were in entertainment had to earn their position.
Full Metal Alchemist is written by a woman, and no one cares one way or the other, because it is good.

This is an egalitarian space, we don't allow generalizations based on immutable characteristics.
