Posted this in the divorce sub but didn’t get many bites.

Wife told me two months ago she’s filing for divorce. I said ok and that was that. I did ask for clarity about 2-3 weeks after but it went down as I assumed. It’s been a long 9 years… as most of yall can relate.

I will be served any day now. My main question is how many days do I have to move out of in our temporary hearing she’s awarded to stay in the house (which is owned by my mother).

I run three businesses and all business addresses are the house address as well as tools and equipment. So it’ll be a huge pain to have to move. I don’t want to move cause I’ll get to stay in the house post divorce and she knows she has to get an apartment at some point anyway. The past two months living together have been fine. No fights, she cooks for me, I pick up dinner for her or get her ice cream here and there. And with the kiddos it’s nice us both being there. She’s adamant she doesn’t want to live together during the divorce.

Second scenario… She might try for a restraining order but she has no grounds or evidence… but I’ve heard judges award it anyways. If she gets the restraining order… those that were slapped with a restraining order, how many days were you given to get out?
