I think a men's Tea app would be just as bad as the existing Tea app. All the reasons that make it harmful would apply.

So, it would be hypocritical of us to make such an app.

Just wait it out...this will implode and backfire the way all anti-male "movements" do. Things like this and #metoo are appealing at first because they're a way for women to collectively voice their frustration about something. But people will come to realize that it's bullshit. And that women are just as much to blame for the issue they're complaining about as men...

I’ve seen this idea get floated several times on this sub. I’m a software engineer, but I’m not sure this is really a good idea. Fighting fire with fire and all. I’m not sure it’s a good idea ethically. I’d be concerned about the legality of building something like this. All that said I’m just not sure it would be worth the time and energy it would take.

On one hand I can see how it could be profitable just based on the free publicity from the controversy, and on the other hand the ethics of it just seem problematic. And the likelihood of being caught up in legal trip wires seems high.

100% we need one, especially if women are going to go around and have this app to judge men, it shouldn't be confined to one gender. People act like men don't need protection too, how women like to claim they are making dating "safe" for them men also could benefit from it. Women are not only physically abusive, mentally/emotionally abusive and sexually abusive to their partners but a lot of men would like to know if a woman has a history of sleeping around with a lot of men and since women are never honest about their past having an app like this will reveal the truth if they want it or not. And if you think it's wrong to put someone's sexual history out there on the Internet for all to see and judge without their consent than you better point the finger at women first who started this. Especially since women have more sex than men on average they have a higher risk of having STDs. Or how many women are using men for multiple things like having them pay for her dinners, rent, etc and guys are none the wiser they are all being taken advantage of. How many women hide their past of sex work? How many women have a history of cheating on their partners? Men have just as much if not more to lose, so if this app is being called "ethical" for women to have then it's more than ethical for men to have as well.

To avoid revenge porn, maybe make it so you can only link social media and not upload pictures? More annoying but maybe it’ll avoid revenge porn. Maybe make it so pictures have to go through verification to make sure it’s not porn before publicizing it.

I'm working on an app for men...but not for this silly shit. It's more to help me be better...not that he may already be the best but you can always elevate. I don't want to give the details as someone may steal the idea. I say we all just stay out of this. It got made, it was used to call women fat, ugly, easy, and post revenge porn from super old relationships in highschool that are essentially CP. It got taken down. Thank fuck.

At least the women's tea app talks about what men were talking to minors or which men have rpe allegations or some other shit.
