For a Sr in HS. I would say dont worry about anything else but having a good time.

You and your friends do not know how to talk to girls (even the ones who seem to be killing it). If you go in thinking "i need to get a girls number" you will not get a girls number becaue you will get nervous, you will come off as desperate, and girls already have their walls up when guys approach.

You should go there and be focused on making sure you and your friends are having a good time. Be open to talking to everybody who is new. Guy or girl.

Because girls gravitate towards guys who are having a fun time. Girls go out to have a good time with the grisl so you shoudl mee thtem at their level. Music comes up, hype yourself and everybody up and start dancing. Grab the first single girl you see and dance if she is down. Dont be the guy in a corner who doesnt do shit and is there acting weird and awkwardly.

I had a friend who when he went out, he talked to guys and girls all night. He would talk to dudes for 2 hours, then invite girls to join in with him and the girls would join because they say he was there because he wanted a good night.

Bro I wish I started trying when I was in high school. Be ballsy, your classmates will rather be jealous than laughing at you. Think about your inner confidence and don't care too much what other people think. Try to make it easy for yourself with starting light conversation with new people. If they really reject you or give you weird eyes, demand respect by walking away unaffected. You'll probably not come across like some kind of Guru in the beginning, but that's okay. If progress starts from a young age you'll reap the benefits early in life. I'm 24 and people I know still don't have the balls to approach or talk to new people, and still have difficulty making new friends. So it's good if you try now.
