The 'Patriarchy' which they really rail against is marriage for life. This was how, in the absence of paternity testing, men tried to ensure that all the kids he was supporting had HIS genes.

By contrast, women gain most advantage for their offspring through polyandry. And she knows that HER genes are in all of them.

Yes, the world used to be set up with specific gender roles, and that sucked, but that was only because life had been difficult for thousands of years. Survival mode often leads to a certain arrangement.

Women were historically underrepresented in politics, therefore they will be always be regarded as victims of the patriarchy.

EDIT: I'm getting down voted because people interpreted my comment as feminist. I'm just referencing feminist logic here not defending feminism.
