Recently, in my former University, a male student apparently committed suicide, jumped off university building. The department in which he was studying was of very harsh environment let's say.

He was a bright student, but due to some reasons his whole semester was about to be cancelled. Due to this stress he committed suicide.

My parents heard this news and I was speechless to see their reaction. They said He must have anger issues, If only he just let the feeling pass, Why was his semester cancelled, there must've been an issue with him, maybe he was a bad student.

And me on the other hand, I went silent. Complete silent as I listened to them blame the guy.

I countered that where were the authorities? No one saw what he was about to do? To which they said who could know? Security could be there or not.

So I stopped myself there and they, through their facial reaction, realized they have understood that I don't want to talk about this.

This stressed me out a bit. They are very caring and very loving but I couldn't believe it.

We should be with the victim, we should have some empathy or sympathy or whatever.

Are men not human? Or are they human until they are inconvenient.

Why this reaction? Why couldn't they just side with the victim. They did sprinkle that here and there that "ohh this is the stress he might have from his family maybe". It's twisting isn't it.
